Yesterday I went down to Independence, OR to the "Wings of Wonder"!!!! This is an experience I'll never forget. It's like walking into a tropical paradise with all these brilliant, BIG butterflies flying all over the place. The temp was a little overwhelming right at first...about 90°...& they keep the place dripping wet, so the humidity is very high. But forget those things & enjoy.

Best way to get there from McMinnville is 99W to Monmouth. Turn left @ Burgerville & stay on that road straight thru Independence. Go as far as you can thru town to the dead-end of that street & the red blinking light. Turn right at that road (Buena Vista Rd) and stay right on it until you come to the little community of Buena Vista -- thru there just a little ways to Willamette Ferry Rd (it's a little gravel rd.) Turn Left & you'll see their sign out front.

Admission is: General - $8.50, 4-10 years - $6.00, Seniors 65 & up - $8.00
Hours: Wed. - Sat. : 11:00 - 4:00 Sun: 12:00 - 4:00 Mon. - Tues: Closed
